Laureen Vaughn

As the Executive Director of Commonwealth Advisory Group and the former Executive Director of the Massachusetts Retirement and the Commonwealth Deferred Compensation Programs, Laureen has been assisting seniors and their families for more than 20 years.

Laureen cares very much for her clients and works closely with them to be sure that all of their needs are met. She takes the time to make sure that Commonwealth Advisory Group’s clients understand the complicated Medicare and Medicaid regulations and how each may affect them. Laureen is very adept at taking a very complicated subject, such as Medicaid regulations and new Federal and State legislation, and explaining them in a very simple way so that everyone can understand them.

Along with Elder Law Attorney Philip C. Amaru, co-founder of Commonwealth Advisory Group, Laureen has provided seminars to AARP, MS Society, Parkinsons Support Groups, Better Breathers Support Groups, numerous senior centers, hospitals, elder agencies and businesses throughout Massachusetts. In addition, they have served as expert speakers at the WBZ Personal Financial Seminar.
